چکیده

Abstract The technology that is commonly used to control postharvest pathogen attacks coating with synthetic chemicals, but this has an unfriendly impact on the environment and consumers. Coating A. vera L gel plant extracts a natural way extend shelf life maintain quality. research was focused finding composition of guava fruit . indica leaf extract provided physicochemical properties optimal quality during storage. Parameters tested were weight loss, percent decay, moisture content, total dissolved solids titrated acid from fruit. gives best storage time 15 days 85% gel, 10% extract, 0.025% Carboxy Methyl Cellulose (CMC) 0.5% glycerol. coated had loss 11.19%, content 57.15%, spoilage 3.33%, 7.67 oBrix 1.90%. This value better than uncoated 30.48%, 28.42%, 14.44%, 12.33 0.40%.

Carotenoids from guava (Psidium guajava l.): isolation and structure elucidation.

Sixteen carotenoids were isolated from the flesh of Brazilian red guavas (Psidium guajava L.). Their structures were established by means of UV-visible, 400 and 500 MHz (1)H NMR, 120 and 125 MHz (13)C NMR, mass, and circular dichroism spectra. The carotenoids were identified as phytofluene, (all-E)-, (9Z)-, (13Z)-, and (15Z)-beta-carotene, (all-E)-gamma-carotene, (all-E)-, (9Z)-, (13Z)-, and (1...

Power Ultrasound Application on Convective Drying of Banana (Musa paradisiaca), Mango (Mangifera indica L.) and Guava (Psidium guajava L.)

Abstract—High moisture content in fruits generates post-harvest problems such as mechanical, biochemical, microbial and physical losses. Dehydration, which is based on the reduction of water activity of the fruit, is a common option for overcoming such losses. However, regular hot air drying could affect negatively the quality properties of the fruit due to the long residence time at high tempe...
